To begin with, I have two projects in the works, a documentary on the Cow Cavalry and a 'infomentry' on Spectrum disorders and how the church ought to respond to the issue. I am working the hardest on the Cow Cavalry documentary without completely pushing "Spectrum" aside.
A bit of information about myself: I am the director and editor. My elder sister and I got interested in filmmaking several years back (before I had any good idea about the amount of time and effort that went into even the initial planning stages). With a borrowed camera we shot a short video for our Pastor's birthday as well as a play put on by some of our friends. It was during this time that I discovered that I loved editing! We had to return the camera (of course) and that dream kind of drifted off for a while.
Last year I started doing some genealogy research and re-encountered the Confederate Cow Cavalry (I had done a speech several years prior that touched on them). During this time my desire to "make movies" was rekindled and I decided to start with a documentary, thinking it would be easier. I love history and have a special interest in the War Between the States, so to bring to life the Cow Cavalry, a little known group of cowmen soldiers hit the spot. Over the past year I have worked on and off on this project (still being in college) and it has been in just the past few months that I have really focused my engery on pulling everything together.
I need to return to work!
